Like many happy stories, ours begins with family...
Nashville natives George Cohn and Christina McCoy both grew up enjoying the incomparable tastes of candies and cookies made fresh in their grandmothers’ kitchens. Their treasured family recipes had been handed down and perfected over many generations.
Eventually, Christina began creating treats and candies for her own family. Then George challenged her to recreate the almond toffee he remembered from childhood holidays. The results were even better than he’d remembered.
The couple channeled their efforts into a full-fledged business in 2003. As the great-great grandson of Meier Werthan, himself a successful Nashville entrepreneur, you might say George had business in his blood. And before long, Nashville Toffee Company emerged as a well-known leader in the world of artisanal toffee.
Today, each of our delicacies is still made by hand, in small batches, using only the finest all-natural ingredients. An essential part of every recipe we make: our genuine commitment to freshness and quality, along with an extra dash of grandmotherly love.
